The Christian Television Workshop is chartered under the laws of the State of Illinois and the IRS, as a 501 C3. Its primary intent is to present inspirational family Christian programming to share the gospel of Christ. This activity is to be accomplished without any "on camera appeals." CTW is sponsored by interested friends and patrons who believe in the concept of Christ's words "Freely you have received, freely give"
CTW often airs its programs on selected cable stations. Specials have been presented in a variety of national locales including, Southern California, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida and Illinois. The 2003 special, A CELEBRATION OF CHRISTIAN HOPE, was presented, six years ago, through the auspices of WGN Super Station on September 13th at 7:30.a.m. CST, 2003. It was retelecast on some local cable outlets as well.
The Christian Television Workshop was founded several years ago to share the "good news" of Christ with families around the nation.

Accepting God's Gifts/Following God's Ways
|
So many of us want to make our own way. God wants to help us and quite often we just won't let Him. He tells us not to worry about tomorrow-but we do anyway. He tells us to trust Him and no sooner than we say we will-we start working things out on our own. He tells us He will bring it to pass and yet we feel the need to help Him.
When Jesus was sharing the Sermon on the Mount He knew this concept of trust would be a problem for the culture of His day. He said, "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they toil not neither do they spin"
If He doesn't want us to worry about the mundane what is it He wants? He has given us the pattern, but in our pride and stubborn ways we ignore His message.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Is this what we do? I'm afraid that most of us spend 90% of our time focused on those things Christ told us not to worry about and 10% or less seeking the Kingdom. Maybe, just possibly, we should give His way a try. After all, you and I both have tried it the other way, and it doesn't work. Let's try God's way together.
